Sun Cluster is a high-availability cluster software product for the Solaris Operating System, created by Sun Microsystems. The following are Sun Cluster command cheat sheet for System Administrator reference.

How to check cluster information?

root@server: scstat

How to change cluster group resource to Online / Offline?

  • To bring Online
    root@server: scswitch -Z -g
  • To bring Offline
    root@server: scswitch –F –g

How to enable / disable cluster resource?

  • To enable
    root@server: scswitch –e –j
  • To disable
    root@server: scswitch –n –j

How to switch cluster resource to secondary node?

root@server: scswitch –z –g –h

How to view detailed information of cluster resource / resource group?

root@server: scrgadm -pvv
root@server: scrgadm -pvv –j

How to view cluster configuration info?

root@server: scconf –p

Configure the cluster (add nodes, add data services, etc)

root@server: scinstall

Cluster installation info (prints packages and version)

root@server: scinstall –pv

Cluster configuration utility (quorum, data sevices, resource groups, etc)

root@server: scsetup

How to check cluster integrity?

root@server: sccheck
